Terms of Service

The plain-language agreement that covers our work in your home and your use of this site.

Last updated & effective date: September 1, 2026  •  License # PL17088-M

Terms Quick Reference

The short version, without wading through pages of legal jargon.

Upfront, written pricing

You approve the price in writing before we start the work — no surprise invoices.

Flexible scheduling

Appointment windows are estimates; emergency calls may shift a scheduled visit.

Licensed & insured work

All work is performed under Massachusetts Master Plumber License PL17088-M.

Massachusetts law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of this website and any residential, commercial, or emergency plumbing and heating services you request from Wildcat Plumbing Services (“Wildcat Plumbing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a local, family-owned company based in Weymouth, MA and serving communities throughout the South Shore of Massachusetts.

By browsing this website, submitting an estimate request, booking an appointment online, calling our dispatch office, or allowing our technicians to perform work at your property, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our online booking tools, contact forms, or services.

These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

Acceptance of These Terms

Your request for service, written or verbal approval of an estimate, or continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of these Terms as they exist on that date. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, code requirements, or applicable law. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes take effect when posted.

If a signed proposal, service agreement, or membership agreement between you and Wildcat Plumbing conflicts with these Terms, that signed document controls for the work it describes.

Scope of Plumbing Services

We provide licensed plumbing and heating services including, but not limited to, water heater and tankless installation, boiler and furnace service, drain cleaning and sewer work, leak detection and repair, fixture installation, gas piping, sump pumps, water treatment systems, and 24/7 emergency response.

  • Work is limited to what is approved

Technicians perform only the work described in the approved estimate. Additional issues discovered on site are documented and priced separately for your approval before we proceed.

  • Code compliance & permits

All work is performed in accordance with the Massachusetts State Plumbing and Fuel Gas Codes. Where a permit or municipal inspection is required, we will identify it and, unless agreed otherwise, pull it on your behalf at the stated cost.

  • Right to decline unsafe work

We may decline or stop work where conditions are unsafe, where a system cannot be brought into safe operation, or where the requested approach would violate code or manufacturer requirements.

Estimates, Quotes & Approvals

We believe in upfront, no-surprise pricing. Before work begins, you receive a price for the recommended repair or installation, and we do not proceed until you approve it.

  • Validity period

Unless the document states otherwise, written estimates are valid for 30 days. Material and equipment costs can change, and prices may be revised after that window.

  • Diagnostic & dispatch fees

Some visits include a diagnostic or dispatch fee, which is disclosed to you before we are dispatched. Fees for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency response may be higher.

  • Concealed conditions

Estimates are based on the conditions visible at the time of inspection. Concealed conditions — deteriorated piping inside walls, non-code prior work, asbestos, or structural obstructions — may require a revised price, which we present to you before continuing.

  • Change orders

Any change to the approved scope is documented in writing (including by text or email confirmation) and must be approved before that additional work is performed.

Scheduling, Access & Cancellations

Appointment times are arrival windows rather than exact guarantees. Plumbing emergencies are unpredictable, and a no-heat or active-leak call may occasionally delay a scheduled non-urgent visit. When that happens we contact you as soon as possible to reschedule at your convenience.

  • Property access

An adult 18 or older must provide access to the property and the work area, or you must arrange approved access in advance. If we cannot access the property during the scheduled window, a trip fee may apply.

  • Cancellations & rescheduling

Please give us as much notice as possible — ideally 24 hours — so we can offer the slot to another neighbor. Special-order equipment already purchased for your job may be non-refundable.

  • Online booking requests

Appointments requested through our online scheduler are requests until our office confirms them by phone, text, or email.

Payment Terms

  • When payment is due

Unless a written agreement states otherwise, payment in full is due upon completion of the work. Larger installations and multi-day projects may require a deposit or progress payments as described in the proposal.

  • Accepted methods

We accept major credit cards, checks, and approved financing. Card payments are processed through PCI-compliant third-party gateways; we do not store full card numbers.

  • Late & returned payments

Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by Massachusetts law, plus fees for returned checks and reasonable costs of collection.

  • Memberships & recurring plans

VIP membership plans bill on the recurring schedule disclosed at sign-up and continue until cancelled. Membership benefits are non-transferable and apply to the enrolled property.

Workmanship Warranty & Limitations

We stand behind our work. Unless a longer period is stated on your invoice or proposal, our labor and workmanship are warranted for one year from the date of completion. Equipment, fixtures, and parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which we help you register and administer.

  • What is not covered

Damage from misuse, freezing, neglect, tree roots, ground settlement, power surges, flooding, work performed or altered by others, and pre-existing conditions outside the scope we repaired.

  • Recommended repairs you decline

If you decline a recommended repair or replacement, we cannot warrant related failures on that system.

  • Warranty claims

Call our office as soon as you notice an issue so we can inspect it. Warranty repairs are performed by Wildcat Plumbing; work by another contractor voids the workmanship warranty on that item.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate information

Please describe the problem, the property, and any prior work as accurately as you can, and confirm you are authorized to approve work at the property.

  • Clear the work area

Remove valuables, breakables, and stored items from the work area and secure pets. We protect floors and clean up, but we cannot be responsible for items left in the way.

  • Ongoing maintenance

Follow manufacturer maintenance requirements — including annual water heater and boiler service — to keep equipment warranties in force.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Website content, service descriptions, and general plumbing guidance are provided for informational purposes and do not replace an on-site inspection by a licensed plumber. We make no guarantee that a specific outcome, timeline, or cost described online applies to your property.

To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, Wildcat Plumbing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost income, loss of use, or mold growth arising after our work is completed — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service at issue. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot be waived.

We are not responsible for conditions that existed before our arrival, for damage that unavoidably results from accessing concealed piping in the manner disclosed to you, or for failures of equipment we did not install or service.

Communications & SMS

When you provide your phone number, you agree that we may contact you about appointments, technician arrival, estimates, invoices, and warranty follow-up by phone, text, or email. Marketing messages are sent only if you opt in.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from text messages at any time, or HELP for assistance. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your mobile number and consent records.

Website Use & Intellectual Property

  • Permitted use

You may use this website to learn about our services, request estimates, and book appointments. You may not scrape, copy, resell, or reverse engineer any portion of the site, or use it to transmit unlawful or harmful content.

  • Our content

The Wildcat Plumbing name, logo, mascot, photography, and site copy are owned by us or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without written permission.

  • Third-party tools

Our scheduler, maps, review feeds, and analytics are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and availability.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Norfolk or Plymouth County, Massachusetts, and you and Wildcat Plumbing consent to that venue.

Please contact our office first. Most concerns are resolved with a phone call and a return visit, and we would much rather fix the problem than argue about it. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
